The Beloved Beggar of God

A Saint Who Radiated Divine Love

Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar, reverently called "Swamiji" by His devotees, was born on December 1, 1918 in Katpadi, Tamil Nadu. He is celebrated as one of the most extraordinary saints of modern India — a living embodiment of surrender, humility, and the power of the Divine Name.

He called Himself "this beggar" and wandered the streets of Tiruvannamalai for decades before settling at His ashram. His primary teachers were Papa Ramdas of Anandashram, Swami Ramdas, and the great sage Ramana Maharshi. Under their guidance, He realised the supreme truth.

Thousands of devotees from across the world came to His feet seeking blessings. His presence alone was said to transform lives, and His only teaching was simple: surrender to the Divine Father and chant His Name.
